Maurici Harpsichord

 Harpsichords, Clavichords and Fortepianos

All actions parts used in the instruments are made in the workshop of Maurici Harpsichords. Only the finest materials are used. Swiss Pearwood, Beech, or Walnut for the jacks of Harpsichords, Holly tongues, Boar bristle springs and Delrin plectra. Similarly, actions parts for Fortepianos are of the same materials. For soundboards,  Sitka Spruce or Swiss Pine are used. The only glue  used is ground hide glue, which has been shown over the years to be superior over modern equivalents, especially in terms of acoustic properties.
